This race will take place on Saturday, May 5, 2012. Experience the burn of a hard workout, the fun of a competitive race, and the natural beauty of Florida including the largest land bridge east of the Mississippi. The race, brought to you by Pangea Adventure Racing, puts a compass in your hand as you navigate to control locations on foot, bike, and boat.  Get outdoors! O’Leno’s 2010 Pangea Missing River Adventure Race took place May 1, 2010. Adventure Racing is a combination of two or more endurance disciplines. Basically teams are given a map with check points and may the best team win, of course! This sport has gained popularity in current modern times and some place its beginnings in the late 1960′s. Teams typically meet the night or morning before the race and it is at this time the racing course is first revealed. As many of you know O’Leno State Park contains a natural land bridge; the Santa Fe disappears and reemerges 5 kilometers away at the River Rise State Preserve.
